Field ready implements and equipment. Maintain/repair machinery, equipment, and implements. Operate and repair irrigation systems. Transport farm commodities to market. Maintain farm grounds/mow. Other miscellaneous duties assigned. This job involves manual labor, lifting, carrying, long days in the heat. Rain days are typically spent in the shop repairing equipment and preparing for the next days?? work & other related Agricultural Equipment Operator activities as per SOC/OES 45-2091 (onetonline.org). Possible weekend/holiday work. Employer will furnish free and convenient cooking and kitchen facilities so that workers may prepare their own meals and will provide transportation to assure workers access to stores where they can purchase groceries. Employer will provide one or more vehicles to adequately transport the number of workers requested. Available vehicles may consist of pickups (capacity of 2 - 6), cars (capacity 2 - 5), SUVs (capacity of 5 - 7), or vans (capacity of 10+). Due to the nature of farming, the availability/types of vehicles may change frequently.?
